In late 1958, the band Soundwave was born. It presently has 18 pieces: 5 saxes, 5 trumpets, 5 trombones, and 3 rhythm. The band has been a mainstay of the San Francisco Bay Area for almost 50 years. Bob Enos attended Julliard School of Music in New York and studied under John Mahegan. He is a veteran of the scene in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. He has worked with Pete Rugolo and his arrangements were played by Stan Kenton's orchestra. As Bob traveled the world, he picked up influences from many countries. You will hear a lot of Latin American sounds in his music as well as the sounds of many great American composers and arrangers. featuring the over 1600 arrangements that Bob has written and continues to write in the styles of Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Henry Mancini, Woody Herman, and Tito Puente. Soundwave includes such personalities as Pete Yellin on alto, jazz radio legend Bob Parlocha on tenor, and Mark Foglia on drums. The band presently plays every Wednesday night from 8-10 pm at the Harbor Bay Club in Alameda. The sounds range from ballads to Latin, to Swing, to Rock and Roll. An evening with Bob Enos and Soundwave will send you home humming that song and tapping your foot. For an experience in music that you will not forget soon, hear the great music of Soundwave. Kaveman and Pete Yellin playing with the Bob Enos Soundwave
