Peter Anastos has been playing jazz in the Bay Area for the last 30 years mostly as a side man. In 2006, he released his first cd as a leader featuring seven of his original compositions in the post-bop tradition. "A great program of modern jazz; original ideas with colors of the masters. The arrangements involve the whole band, adding lots of movement and dimension. Peter's strong melodies bear the personal stamp of his ear for the piquant interval.
