Saxophone virtuoso, composer and bandleader, George Brooks did just that in 2001 when he formed the global fusion super-group, Summit. Brooks, who spent his early years in the bands of Jaki Byard and Etta James, completed this phenomenal group with the addition of Liberian born bassist Kai Eckhardt (John McLaughlin, Trilok Gurtu) and guitar wizard, Fareed Haque (Joe Zawinul, Paquito D’Rivera, Sting).
